Laser Calc will calculate all of the relevant characteristics of a fiber delivered laser system, including a continuous wave or pulsed laser source, with a collimating element and a final focusing lens. Including sub calculations of such a system. Enter the information you know about the system and let the calculation fill in the blanks.

Laser Calc will calculate beam parameter product from wavelength and beam quality, or it will calculate beam quality from bpp and wavelength. If a pulsed laser is selected then it will calculate the peak power from the average power, pulse duration and pulse frequency.

You can enter the fiber diameter and the collimator length to get the collimated beam diameter or you can just input the fiber diameter and the collimated beam diameter and it will calculate the collimator length.

Once you have the correct collimated beam diameter you can input the focusing lens and it will calculate the focused spot diameter, or if you have a desired spot diameter you can input that value and it will calculate the focal length of the focusing lens.

This calculator will calculate the power density in the collimated beam as well as the power density of the focused spot. It also calculates the depth or working length of the focused spot.
